With a photojournalist for a father and a newspaper reporter for a grandmother who made her own photos, photography & story telling are in my blood.
I began my photographic education shadowing R.J. Oriez on Arkansas football fields. At the age of 11 I was handedan Canon AT-1 (which now hangs on my office wall) with the instructions to stand near the 1st down marker and “see what you get.” Well I got something. I would continue to shadow my dad on sports shoots whenever possible. To this day he is still one of my favorite collaboration partners. A high school newspaper, a few seminars, a Bachelor of Journalism with an emphasis in photojournalism from the University of Missouri in 2015 and an internship with the Public Affairs Office at FE Warren AFB, and I continue to love working behind the camera to capture moments and memories for others so they can last a life time.
Right before COVID shut down the country I was able to attend Sports Shooter Academy 17 in Los Angeles and even earned the title of “Photo of the Day”.
When not behind the camera, I enjoy snuggles with the below doggos, and playing with horses as a hunter/jumper rider.
